Baseball Announces the Addition of Four Signees

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida baseball announces the signing of four in-state signees as released by head coach Tim Parenton and staff. The Ospreys welcome a pair of right-handed pitchers, along with an outfielder and a two-way player. 

Joining the Ospreys are Brett Dennis, Parker Galberaith, Nick Lorenz and Zane Starling. 

“We’re thrilled to have these four Ospreys join our program,” head coach Tim Parenton said. “Once again, our staff did a great job of locating student-athletes that will succeed on and off the field, while representing our program well. We’re excited to have Brett, Parker, Nick and Zane at North Florida!”

Brett Dennis

  • Position: RHP
  • Class: Freshman
  • Hometown: Jacksonville, Fla.
  • Previous School: Providence HS
  • Height: 6-1
  • Weight: 185
  • Intended Major: Sport Management

  • Four-year varsity letterwinner at Providence HS
  • True freshman in the 2024 season
  • National Honor Society and Spanish Honors Society Student

Parker Galberaith

Nick Lorenz

  • Position: RHP
  • Class: Freshman
  • Hometown: Port Orange, Fla.
  • Previous School: Spruce Creek HS
  • Height: 6-1
  • Weight: 170
  • Intended Major: Kinesiology

Accolades and Personal Info

  • Four-year varsity letterwinner
  • Went five-for-five in save opportunities, turning in a 2.55 ERA, 47 strikeouts and 36 innings pitched
  • Top performance included a game in which he closed out the game, got the win and hit a walk-off single in the same contest
  • 2020 MVP
  • 7A state runner-up in 2021
  • Son of Alicia and Mike Lorenz
