Overall, the recipe itself (with that one very important modification) is a total winner. I’m not normally a soup-in-summer kind of guy, but this may very well become part of my summer rotation. For anyone worried about the clam juice, the flavor it imparts is light, and the splash of heavy cream makes the dish just rich enough without feeling at all heavy. It’s a genuinely easy 30-minute meal, and with all that vibrant basil and sweet corn, it really does feel like summer in a bowl…but I can promise you with near 100% certainty that your kids won’t like this one. Sorry, Martha. ❤️
